Meghan and Harry were joined at the ceremony by representatives from each of the eighteen countries who are participating in the upcoming Invictus Games, which kicks off in Sydney on Saturday.

A number of people could be heard congratulating Meghan on the royal baby news that she was expecting. She smiled and replied: "Thank you so much. We're very excited".

The expectant parents were also presented with Akubras -- which had been gifted to them on their wedding in May.

The event at Admiralty House is the couple's first stop on what it set to be a busy few days during their 16-day tour of Australia, New Zeleand, Fiji and Tonga.
