You Won't See Photos Of Prince George's First Day Of School

There's a pretty good reason why.

If you're anything like us, Prince George's first day of Year One on September 6 has been marked in your diaries for a while.

The cuteness potential was high, especially considering the adorable pics from his first day of Reception -- sort of the equivalent to Kindy in Australia -- back in 2017.

Well we hate to break it to you but word is that there won't be a single snap of little George embarking on his 'big school' journey at Thomas's Battersea in London, and tbh we're kinda bummed out.

There is of course a pretty good reason for the Prince's mum and dad, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to not invite the media to their son's special day, at least according to HELLO! magazine's royal correspondent Emily Nash.

"Prince George's time at school is private and although the Duke and Duchess shared an image from his first day at primary school last year, they won't do it every year," Nash explained.

Sounds fair enough. There aren't that many photos from Princes William and Harry's school days, either. The ones we do have, however, are royally sweet.

Even though we might not have visual proof of five-year-old George's educational milestone, we do know a little bit about what he'll be up to in Year 1.

While the junior royal tackled subjects like French, Computing, Art, Music, Drama and Ballet in Reception, he'll move onto things like Science, History, Geography, Maths, English and PE this year.

He'll also have to work on his writing skills, and learn the days of the week, months of the year and numbers up to 20. Plus, the Prince will also have to knuckle down and do ten minutes of reading homework per night.

Even the future King of England can't get out of homework.

Don't worry, you won't have that long to wait to get a royally cute update as both Prince George and his younger sister, three-year-old Princess Charlotte, are expected to show their chubby little faces at Princess Eugenie's wedding in Windsor on October 12.

Rumour is that seasoned pageboy George and bridesmaid Charlotte will be donning their finery to perform similar duties on Eugenie's big day.

Now that's something to look forward to.
