Bride Won't Let Monsoon Get In Way Of Wedding
It's a nice day for a wet wedding...
Jobel Delos Angeles was a bride on a mission recently -- as she refused to let the weather ruin her wedding plans. Even though Tropical Storm Yagi was battering the the province of Bulacan near Manila where she lives, the 24 year old didn't want to stop her big day from being everything she wanted -- so she just carried on regardless.
And a flooded aisle wasn't all she had to deal with -- the rising flood waters means she and her entourage had to arrive to the church by boat -- as no cars would take them. Talk about making an entrance.
Arriving at the church, Delos Angeles is seen in a video on Facebook smiling as she held her white wedding gown above the water -- while carrying her bouquet in her other hand. As she got to her groom he led her to the altar, as if nothing was wrong at all and the pair were hitched.
That's true love right there folks.
"Even if it floods or it rains, nothing can stop me. You only get married once, will you postpone it? I was marrying the man I love,” Delos Angeles said after the ceremony. “My gown got wet and heavy but I told myself it was as if I was walking on a red carpet.”
The happy but soggy couple also used the day to baptise their five-month-old daughter.
And they are now hopefully dried off, and super famous with hundreds of wellwishers commenting on the video.
"Most blessed couple only get such a wonderful wedding in the Church .God bless" said one.
"Unique wedding celebration congrats...love conquers all," commented another.
Romance, it seems, is not dead. It's just a bit damp.
