Would You Wear This Confusing Wedding Outfit Down The Aisle?
Here comes the bride, all dressed in ... denim.
Jeans are a wear-everywhere wardrobe staple -- there's no doubt about that -- but has French fashion brand Sonia Rykiel pushed the 'denim goes with everything' ethos a little too far with this unusual look?
Head designer Julie de Libran sent a model down the Paris Fashion Week runway on July 1 wearing a white corset top, feathered veil and a pair of ripped blue jeans.
The daring look was part of the house’s first couture collection, and can only be described as off-duty bridal -- or maybe it was a case of 'no time to get changed, just get on the catwalk?'
The jury is still out on whether or not Sonia Rykiel's jeans-wearing-bride is a look or a lewk, but if it's enough to convince you to walk down the aisle in your fave denim duds then be our guest. If anything it's a new twist on the old custom of 'something blue.'
