Can You Cope With This Royal Christening Cuteness?
The bub's parents couldn't be more proud.
There's been another royal christening and the too-cute pictures have us going ga-ga. The bub's chubby cheeks and tiny christening gown -- and the gorgeous family snaps -- are almost too much. Almost.
Before we get too ahead of ourselves, let's be clear: the mini-royal in question is not Britain's Prince Louis -- yet -- but three-month-old Princess Adrienne of Sweden. And her big day was super sweet.
Princess Adrienne Josephine Alice was surrounded by her royal family -- including her parents Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill -- at her baptism on Friday June 8.
The ceremony took place at the very grand Drottningholm Castle Church in the Swedish capital Stockholm -- not that baby Adrienne would've made much of the fanfare.
There was much of that on the day though, with an archbishop, a bishop and a pastor present to oversee proceedings. We love how Adrienne's godparents -- who all reached out and touched the tot at one point during the ceremony --were so involved.
After the ceremony a 21-gun salute was fired from Skeppsholmen -- a nearby island -- and from the warship HMS Kullen outside Drottningholm Palace. Here's hoping the little one didn't choose that moment to have a nap.
Proud grandparents the king and queen of Sweden rounded out the day with a reception at the Palace and a lunch for guests. But onto important things -- the christening gifts. Princess Adrienne is said to have received children's books with Swedish songs -- and a ukulele -- from the Swedish Government.
The best present however has to be this beautiful portrait of Princess Madeleine and Christopher with Adrienne. She's their third child and second daughter. The royal couple are also parents to Princess Leonore, four, and Prince Nicolas, two.
It was a big couple of days for the Swedish royals as Princess Madeleine -- who is third in line to the throne -- turned 36 on June 10, just two days after her daughter's big day. The christening itself also fell on Madeleine and Chris' fifth wedding anniversary. So much to celebrate!
On the subject of Princess Madeleine we need to talk about her choice of head-wear. Instead of a hat -- or a traditional Swedish Sverigedräkten -- the blonde royal opted for a gorgeous floral crown.
The blush-coloured blooms tied in perfectly with her fresh floral frock and -- bonus -- she's ready to rock at a music festival at a moment's notice.
