Get Ready -- Harry And Meghan Are Officially On Their Way Down Under
Meghan says she's really looking forward to it.
Don't start camping out just yet but you're officially allowed to get excited -- The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are heading down under!
It has been confirmed by Kensington Palace that Prince Harry and new wife Meghan will be in Sydney -- definitely -- around the time of the Invictus Games on October 20- 27 and will also tour Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand. No word yet on which other cities in Australia they will head to.
Harry was last here just a year ago, to start the countdown to the Games -- a sports competition for 500 wounded former and serving defence personnel from 17 nations that he set up as a way to inspire the soldiers toward recovery. This time around he will be bringing his new wife with him.
The couple had another official engagement on the weekend as they joined other members of the royal family at the annual Trooping Of The Colour, Meghan wowing the crowds in a blush Caroline Herrera dress.
In April this year the couple spoke about their upcoming trip during a visit to a training camp in Bath -- talking to veteran Michael Mellon, who said that Meghan was looking forward to attending the games in Sydney later this year.
"We talked a lot about Canada last year and how hot it had been for that time of year and how impressed she was at the level of competition," he said. "She told me that she had never been to Australia, but was going to this year’s event and was really looking forward to being there with Harry."
We are looking forward to it too, Megz. Happy to show you around, just call us!
