I'm A Celebrity 2019: Natasha Exelby Reveals Harrowing Near Death Escapes

Natasha Exelby has faced a lot in her career as a war correspondent and revealed the terrifying close-calls she’s had in recent years.

When Dermott Brereton asked Tash the most life-threatening situation she had ever been in, the journo explained that once she was in a lift in a hotel with two ISIS militants.

“It was on the Turkish-Syrian border, usually when you’re doing live crosses you go from the top of a building,” she explained, “there was a problem with the link truck so they were asking me to do it out on the street-front and I just had this gut feeling.”

“I saw a couple of guys in the area hanging around, I was in a lift and they got in the lift. I got out and I don’t know how fast I ran down to the hotel like just call the police, call the police,” she continued.

Later that day, Tash revealed, another journalist who she had been working with was killed.

Her gut feeling also kicked in during another time just before she moved back to Australia when a motorcycle bomb went off in Turkey.

“I felt bad about that for a long time because my gut instinct, I just got up and ran as fast as I could, she said, “I didn’t check to see if other people were down or anything.”

Tash said she felt the need to run initially because she was thinking of her family back home, how they would react to the news if anything would happen to her.

“I don’t know if it was that or if I was just scared and just ran,” she admitted.
