I'm A Celebrity 2019: Justine Schofield Is Single And Ready To Mingle

One of the jungle’s most guarded celebs opened up in a revealing chat about love, moving on and pasta.

Speaking to Richard Reid, Justine admitted that she’s a very private person, preferring to keep her cards close to her chest when it comes to certain topics.

When Richard pressed further, wondering if she meant the subject of love Justine admitted, “There’s not much to say about it, I’ve been single for two years.”

Back in 2017, Justine and her then-boyfriend Matt Doran who she met at a function in 2014. Despite being geographically separated when Matt took a job in the United States, the pair continued their relationship long distance for several years.

In June 2017 social media sleuths noticed Justine had unfollowed Matt on Instagram and Facebook.

When Richard casually remarked that the breakup was “in the paper” the ever private Justine seemed surprised.

“It’s like a distant memory… irrelevant,” she said waving her hand at the past, “The person’s irrelevant to my life now.”

Adding that she’s single and ready to mingle, Justine said she had shut herself off from romance after the break-up.

“It’s easy to get into this single habit,” she said, “I like my own creature comforts, I like my own bed, I’m happy there’s no one next to me annoying me -- however I’m 33 and I really want a family.”

Justine said she found it a little too easy to fall into a habit of not putting herself out there when it comes to matters of the heart, instead preferring to stay at home with a big bowl of pasta, some red wine and a movie.

Despite that sounding like the perfect evening to us, Justine realised she was beginning to be stuck in a rut.

“I’ve got to get out of my comfort zone and this is why this is the first step to just branching out,” she said of her reasons behind heading into the jungle.

That being said… Justine is still really excited to get back home to a big bowl of pasta and an even bigger glass of wine.
