I'm A Celebrity 2019: Ajay Rochester Hits Out At Michelle Bridges

The former ‘Biggest Loser’ host has slammed her former co-star, trainer Michelle Bridges, in the first days of jungle life.

Speaking to campmates Sam Dastyari and Justin Lacko, Rochester said she didn’t understand why she was referred to as “controversial”.

“They called me controversial but… I believe I’m really boring,” Rochester said before Dastyari piped up, educating Lacko on her and Bridges’ feuds.

“You weren’t boring, you were on fire!” Dastyari exclaimed in camp. “Ajay’s fights with Michelle Bridges… they were the best!”

Admitting she “could have perhaps chosen better words”, Rochester referred to an incident where she quite literally bared all in response to comments Bridges made.

In 2016 Bridges appeared on Australian Story where she claimed she had “never met a happy morbidly obese person”. In response, Rochester uploaded a blog post and an accompanying Instagram of a face drawn on her backside encouraging Bridges to “kiss my fat, happy ass!”.

“I mean I did drop my pants and write a face on my butt and posted it to Instagram,” Rochester told her campmates.

Calling Bridges’ comments on Australian Story “the final straw” she said, “I had been silent for so long, it was like the little mouse that roared.”

“If you’re going to make millions of dollars in the weightloss industry,” Rochester said, “understand and acknowledge and have some empathy for your client. It’s just the most judgemental, discriminatory thing that you could say.”

When Bridges was questioned about Rochester’s cheeky photo at the time she told News Corp, “I don’t even talk about that person, whatever.”

The former host also cleared up rumours that she was fired from her position saying, “I didn’t get fired… I chose to leave.”

Meanwhile, Rochester had the final word in the feud saying, “I got a fat arse and I’m happy.”

“I try to live the biggest life possible and the happiest life possible. And just FYI fat people can be happy.”
