I'm A Celebrity 2019: Love Island's Justin Lacko Is Ready To Be The Next Bachelor

While he plans to be King of the Jungle on 'I’m A Celebrity', Justin Lacko isn’t giving up his hunt for love.

Speaking to 10 daily before handing over his hair products and meeting his campmates, Lacko began fantasising about his life in the jungle.

“I’m going to full on like try and make sh*t,” Lacko said.

“You know like, what do you call it, tree branches that are really bendy? I’m going to try and make skipping ropes and a fishing net and sh*t. Actually, are there fish?”

When we pointed out that he may be ready for the next season of Australian Survivor, Lacko responded: “No, I want to be the next Bachelor.”

“I’ve already put in my submission,” the 28-year-old revealed, “I’m just hoping that they take me seriously. I feel like everyone knows I’m trying to find somebody… I want to find somebody.”

Despite his charm and good looks, the model says he’s been single for about two and a half years, but remains an optimist when it comes to his hunt for love. In fact, he wants to find that special someone to settle down with as soon as possible, no matter how they meet.

“I don’t believe in anything and I believe in everything,” he told 10 daily, “I’ve always said that if you can walk onto the street and find someone then I don’t see why you can’t walk onto a show and find someone too."

“In every scenario, I’m always open and looking to find somebody,” Lacko said, “Many people say let it come to you, but I feel that a man is usually the one who has to take charge; introduce themselves and fight for the woman in general.”

Although his time in the Love Island villa didn’t prove fruitful in finding a partner, it didn’t dampen his belief that you can find love in the most unlikely of places, on TV or even the middle of the jungle.

In fact, while Lacko has every intention to make it all the way to the end of I’m A Celeb and take out the title of King of the Jungle, he's definitely keeping his options open during his time on the show.

“If there’s someone [in camp], of course, I’m single!" he exclaimed, adding, "and then I can walk out a winner anyway. If she comes out of there and I’m like, ‘You still want to be with me after the show, right?’”
