Sarah Michelle Gellar Is Set To Star In New TV Thriller 'Sometimes I Lie'
Sarah Michelle Gellar is making a return to television, and her fans can't handle the news.
The new series is based on the novel Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney and centres on Amber Reynolds -- a woman who's in a coma, "unable to move, speak or open her eyes" according to Deadline.
Gellar will play Reynolds, who can apparently hear everything going on around her as she lies in her hospital bed -- but no one knows she can.
The story jumps around between the before the mysterious accident that left Amber paralysed, her present life in hospital and some memories from her childhood diaries. The series is being developed by Ellen DeGeneres' company A Very Good Production.
The Buffy, The Vampire Slayer star shared the news on her Instagram page and included a screen shot of a message from a friend.

"Wait I'm dying," the message from @onlycatsandfood read.
"You found a story where you get to lay in bed most of the time. IT'S THE DREAM SET! No heels or crazy hair!!! That's like a 2 minute ready time and then straight to the car!
A glance at Gellar's IMDB page will tell you that she's usually pretty selective about the starring roles she chooses, so fans are extremely excited about the news.
Gellar's last recurring TV roles were on the CW's Ringer and The Crazy Ones with Robin Williams in 2013-2014.
But we'd like to think the jewel in her IMDB crown is her first acting gig in 1981 -- when she trolled McDonald's in this Burger King commercial.
