'Law & Order: SVU' Stars Mariska Hargitay And Christopher Meloni Reunited And We Can't Deal
These are their stories, DUN-DUN!
Taking some well-earned time off from being busy detectives, Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni -- who played detective Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler in the hit series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit -- proved just how close they are IRL after Hargitay posted a sweet snap with her former co-star.
“Vacay… A great night with this one” the SVU executive producer captioned the photo, adding the hashtags #reunited, #oldfriends and #PTL.

Meloni and Hargitay were the primary characters for 12 seasons of the super popular crime drama but split up as fictional partners after Meloni left the series in 2011 reportedly due to a dispute over his contract. Hargitay remains on the show -- now in its 20th season.
Despite Meloni's exit, the pair continues to hang out, with Mariska posting a snap to Instagram for Thanksgiving 2017 that showed her celebrating with her former on-screen partner.
Prior to that, the BFFs also shared a cute Valentine's Day snap, captioned, “And then that happened… Just when I thought Valentine’s Day was over,” she wrote.
Despite the series being on track to become the longest-running scripted primetime live-action series in American TV history, executives have said that the show will continue as long as Hargitay wants to remain with the series, and by the sounds of it, she's just as keen as ever.
“I’ve really given myself sort of the respect or honor to take it year by year,” she told E! News. “All good things come when we’re out of our comfort zone. That’s what keeps me so incredibly invested. I’m just trying to go a little bit deeper every day and I’m not done yet, because there’s still so much to mine.”
