Netflix Announced The Massive Cast For Their Dark Crystal Prequel

Get ready for some NAMES because this cast is stacked.

In case you missed it, Netflix is making a 10 episode prequel series to the Jim Henson Frank Oz classic The Dark Crystal.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance will take place before the movie -- the 1982 film followed Jen the Gelfling who had to restore balance to his world by returning a shard to a magical crystal.

Also, it's one of the damn scariest "family" films ever. If you didn't have nightmares about the Skeksis then what even are you?

This week Netflix not only gave us the first look at the upcoming series but also dished the deets on the massive ensemble cast attached. Get ready for some names.

The film will reportedly revolve around three main Gelflings, played by Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor Joy and Nathalie Emmanuel.

Not stopping there because rounding out the cast playing a mix of Skesis (shudder) and Mystics are Mark Hamill, Harvey Fierstein, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Jason Isaacs, Keegan-Michael Key, Ralph Ineson, Andy Samberg and Simon Pegg.

They also announced that the astronomer Aughra, a major player in the original film, will be voiced by Donna Kimball.

While Netflix hasn't hinted at when we can expect the series, we will definitely be holding out for it. With a cast like that you know it's gotta be worth waiting for.
