Coolie! Hilary Duff Says A 'Lizzie McGuire' Reboot Might Be Happening
Get ready to pin your butterfly clips back in your hair because we might be getting all-new episodes of 'Lizzie McGuire'.
Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo could be back on our screens in the near future, the star of the iconic early '00s TV show said an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Duff mentioned that nothing was concrete and cautioned fans not to get too excited -- but it's definitely too late for that.
"There's been some conversations, " Duff said. "It's definitely not a go. I don't want to get everyone wild talking about it."
"I mean I love her so much," said Duff. "I think she was so important to girls at an important time in their life. If she could be important to them again at this age, I think that would be amazing."
Duff said she wasn't sure what McGuire might be up to in 2018 -- but seemed certain that her iconic character didn't have kids of her own yet.
"There's been lots of conversations about that," she said -- there's one thing she doesn't think Lizzie has experienced quite yet.
"I don't think she's a mum yet, but she might be getting there soon."
And while Duff cautioned fans not to get too "wild" about a project that may or may not be happening, they're already dusting off their Lizzie McGuire merch and discussing script ideas.
Duff told Entertainment Tonight that the reboot "could be a possibility or it could be nothing, so we'll see".
