Game Of Thrones To Return In April 2019

In an epic new video, HBO finally revealed when we can expect the final season of 'Game of Thrones'.

Calling itself the #ForTheThrone Anthem, the video recapped some of the best bits from the entire series to date.

Fans have been hotly anticipating when to expect the eighth and final season, with HBO promising it in "the first half of 2019".

The April release shouldn't be TOO much of a surprise for fans who have been paying attention, back in January one of the show's stars, Maisie Williams, accidentally let slip that the filming wrapped in December to get the series ready for April.

After the quote was picked up by literally every GoT fan working in media, she posted a backtrack on Twitter -- probably because HBO sent a dragon to her house.

Still, fans were worried they'd have to wait until the middle of the year as they did for Season 7.

Though Season 8 will be only six episodes long, they've been reported to each be close to movie-length in duration. While no exact release date has been offered just yet, it's only a matter of time until we return to Westeros.
