The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Is Back In The Season 2 Trailer

Amazon's multiple Emmy-award winning series is coming back sooner than we expected, and with a shiny new trailer for the second season.

After winning two Golden Globes, the series went on to sweep the Emmy's taking home eight awards including the top prizes for lead actress, supporting actress, writing, directing, and outstanding comedy series.

The first season starred Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel, a dedicated housewife in 1958 who dotes on her husband as he lives out his dream to become a stand-up comedian.

Through a series of unfortunate hiccups in life she never saw coming, Midge finds herself in the spotlight, and boy does she shine.

Season two will follow Midge as she strives closer towards her dream of being a stand-up, as well as the fall-out for her inability to keep her foot out of her mouth.

The official synopsis reads:

After Midge’s triumph at the Gaslight, the fallout from her takedown of Sophie Lennon looms large, making her climb up the comedy ladder more challenging than ever. As the actual grind of being a comic begins to take its toll on Midge, the pressure to come clean to her family weighs on her – especially as her choices have a ripple effect on everyone around her.

The series also stars Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen and Bailey De Young, and is written and created by Gilmore Girls' Amy Sherman-Palladino.

Amazon also revealed in the trailer the second season would hit Amazon Prime Video on December 5.
