Nick Cummins Defends His Decision, Cass In Tears In Exclusive Project Interview

Nick Cummins will speak publicly for the first time since he stunned Australia with his final decision as The Bachelor.

Lisa Wilkinson interviewed The Honey Badger for tonight's Sunday Project, questioning his decision to reject both final contestants, Sophie and Brittany.

"You do understand on The Bachelor you're meant to be at a place where you're ready to have a relationship?" Wilkinson asked.

"Why would I go in and start something that has a high potential of... three months down the track breaking her heart?" Cummins replied.

Tonight's program also features Wilkinson speaking to a visibly upset Cass Wood, sitting alongside fellow Bachelor contestant Brooke Blurton.

"I feel like a bit of a joke," said Cass as she begins to tear up.

"I just don't want to talk about it."

"Is it easy to move on?" Wilkinson asked.

"Well, It hasn't been... until ... it hasn't been," Cass concluded.

Nick told Wilkinson that his decision has been a painful one.

"I hate seeing a girl hurt like that," he said.

"The mouth changes and the eyes sort of... they jump and the lip moves," he said -- a description that could be about any one of the girls from this season.

"And you're just going, 'I've brought this pain on this human being'".

You can watch the full interview tonight on The Sunday Project from 7pm.
