Sophie Turner Reveals Heartwarming ‘Game Of Thrones’ Wrap Gift
Sophie Turner has opened up about shooting her final scenes for HBO’s 'Game Of Thrones' and revealed the very sweet gift she received from the show’s executive producers.
“I still don’t accept that it’s done,” Turner said during a panel at New York Comic Con this weekend about the final season.
“It’s basically been the majority of my life. I’m still very much processing it.”
The actress added that she’d been given a very sentimental gift from the show’s producers -- a storyboard from one of their favourite Sansa Stark scenes.
“They wrote a long note on the back. I bawled my eyes out. I was shaking and crying for hours.”
The actress also revealed that she nabbed a memento from her character's wardrobe -- one of Sansa's corsets.
The show’s final season is set to premiere in 2019 but filming wrapped up just a few months ago.
Turner said that the show’s crew has gone to extreme lengths to keep the finale a secret, including shooting fake scenes that will never make it to air.
They also have an ingenious way to keep pesky paparazzi cameras away from the GOT set.
“If a drone flies above sets, there’s a thing that can kill the drones, which is really cool,” explained Turner.
“It creates a field around it and the drones just drop. It’s very X-Men.”
The seventh and final season of Game Of Thrones is set to air on HBO in the first half of 2019.
