The Aussie Taking Over America's Got Talent

We really need to let America know he's not German.

There's an Aussie taking over America's Got Talent.

Meet Hans.

He's the "international superstar, sex symbol, accordionist, home wrecker, Madonna fan", or so he called himself in his audition.

Simon Cowell and co did not know what they would be in for when Hans auditioned -- there was accordion playing, singing, back-up dancers, tap dancing, the splits and a questionable lycra one piece.

Hans also claims to be from Germany -- he is in fact Matt Gilbertson, a well-known cabaret act from our very own Adelaide.

After he burst on to the scene during his EXTRA audition for the 13th season of the talent show, his fan base is only getting bigger.

Tuesday saw Hans take to the stage again for the live finals of AGT, and is believed to be the first Australian to reach the finals.

Hans played to judge Mel B, with a wild performance of the Spice Girls' 'Spice Up Your Life'.

And America LOVED him.

Also people really think he is German?

Even after he nearly got caught out by judge Heidi Klum who spoke to him in German during his audition back in June.

Anyway, Australia is keen to claim him back as ours. Good Luck Hans!
