Samantha Bee Apology For Ivanka Trump Insult Comes With A Catch

In her third and final apology the Full Frontal host knew exactly who she was saying sorry to.

Samantha Bee landed in hot water last week when she referred to U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter and adviser Ivanka a "feckless c**t" forcing the comedian to apologise. Twice.

Now, in her third and final apology and on her first episode of Full Frontal since the scandalous incident, Bee eloquently put an end to the controversy... but she wasn't apologising to everyone.

Explaining her ongoing use of "c**t", Bee said, "I want this show to be challenging and I want it to be honest, but I never intended it to hurt anyone—except Ted Cruz".

She also added, "Many men were also offended by my use of the word; I do not care about that".

Bee labelled Trump a feckless c-bomb in response to the White House's lack of action surrounding 1,500 undocumented minors that Health and Human Services reportedly "lost track of".

At the same time, Ivanka posted an adorable photo of her embracing her son to Twitter. It was... not great timing.

As a result of her c-bomb, Bee became the story rather than the 1,500 kids. "I hate that this distracted from more important issues," she said on Full Frontal.

"I hate that I did something to contribute to the nightmare of 24-hour news cycles that we’re all white-knuckling through. I should have known that a potty-mouthed insult would be inherently more interesting to them than juvenile immigration policy.

I would do anything to help those kids. I hate that this distracted from them, so to them, I am also sorry."

That being said, not everyone loved her apology.
