National Treasure Hugh Jackman Is An Oscar Away From An EGOT

Only 15 people have ever won all four of these major awards -- an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.

This year's Grammy Awards has been a wild one.

We saw an iconic performance of "Jolene" by Dolly Parton and goddaughter Miley Cyrus, we've witnessed host Alicia Keys play TWO pianos simultaneously, and we saw history in the making as Hugh Jackman landed another award, bringing him ever so close to obtaining almighty EGOT status.

Taking home the Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for The Greatest Showman, Jackman has now won a Tony, Grammy, and an Emmy -- meaning he just has to nab an Oscar in order to complete the grand slam.

In 2005 the star won an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program for hosting the 58th Annual Tony Awards, and in 2004 he won his first Tony Award for his role in The Boy From Oz.

While he's not nominated for an Academy Award this year, in 2013 he was up for a nomination for his performance in Les Misérables.

Members of the exclusive EGOT club include Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg and more recently, John Legend.
