So Fetch! Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next' Video Stars Aaron Samuels From 'Mean Girls'
Prepare to be flooded with early noughties nostalgia, 'cos by the looks of Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next' vid she'll be referencing a whole bunch of iconic teen flicks -- including Mean Girls, Bring It On and Going on 30 and Legally Blonde.
She's been dropping BTS snaps of the shoot, and today dropped the bombshell that Jonathan Bennett -- aka Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls -- will be reprising his role for the video.
Posting a snap to his 'gram with the singer as she plays the part of mean queen Regina George, which was originally played by Rachel McAdams, Bennett captioned the photo:
"Aaron [heart emoji] Regina. Thank U, Next."
"That's CRAZY......why would I break up with u? Ur so hot," Grande commented, quoting Mean Girls.
"So you agree?? You think I'm really hot?" Bennett said.
She's also added several other snaps that have us absolutely HYPED for the release -- including a group shot with Alexa Luria as Karen Smith, Courtney Chipolone as Gretchen Wieners and Elizabeth Gillies as Lindsay Lohan's character Cady.
It looks like Bennett isn't the only OG film star to make a cameo -- Legally Blonde star Jennifer Coolidge has made an appearance too, according to another photo Ariana uploaded.
"new best friend .... thank u, next," the "God Is a Woman" star wrote.
We're not the only ones DYING for the highly-anticipated video to drop -- celebs have been seen dropping comments across Ari's snaps, including Bella and Gigi Hadid.
"Has she told us when yet," Gigi Hadid commented on the group pic.
"Yes pls give ur fans what we need," her sister Bella Hadid said.
"@bellahadid @gigihadid I love ya'll so much," Grande replied.
We can't wait!
