Tupac's Estate Teases What Could Be New Music

There have been theories for years that Tupac Shakur is still alive, but now his estate has been teasing something big, and fans believe it could be new music.

The Shakur estate has started a countdown for this weekend, leaving sparse clues as to what they could possibly be releasing.

Posting an image of the late rapper to Instagram with "1998" and "Saturday 11/24", the caption for the image urged fans to sign up to a mailing list to be the first in the know.

Many fans believed it could be linked to Shakur's posthumous Greatest Hits, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, released on the 24th of November in 1998.

But the estate wouldn't confirm if the upcoming release would be new music, a re-release of the double-disc Greatest Hits, new merch or simply a celebration of the artists' work.

In September, Shakur's estate won a legal battle over unreleased music, settling a five-year fight to secure more than seven figures worth of royalties from Entertainment One, as well as unreleased music.

The legal battle was launched by Shakur's mother Afeni back in 2013, and though she passed away in 2016, the battle went on until late September this year, giving the Shakur estate access to previously unreleased master recordings.

So keep your eyes peeled, Tupac might be alive again... just in the form of some previously unreleased tracks coming very soon.
