Fans Are Losing It Over Lil Wayne’s New Album

It’s been a number of years in the making -- with a ton of unexpected delays -- but Lil Wayne has finally dropped 'Tha Carter V', and fans are going wild for the new album.

Originally meant to be released in 2014, the New Orleans born rapper’s newest record features tracks with Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg.

And although Tha Carter V is massively behind schedule -- fans seem to agree it was more than worth the wait.

The record features a heartfelt intro recorded by Lil Wayne's mum Jacida Carter.

On the track, she said that while people keep asking her when the new album is coming out, she's just "proud" of her son, Dwayne.

"You'll always be my rock, I love you," she said between tears on the recording.

"I live for you".

The release of Tha Carter V today also coincides with Weezy's 36th birthday.
