Just when you thought the days of Gangnam Style and the Macarena were forgotten, along comes Baby Shark and you won't be able to get it out of your head.

The song was originally created for a South Korean children's YouTube channel called Pinkfong and after successfully driving parents insane, it's now the gift that keeps on giving.

If you're not a fan of the original version, you're in luck with several mixes now released due to high demand.

The original video currently has more than 1.6 billion views on YouTube and the video features easy to reproduce dance moves so everyone can get in on the action.

You may be thinking this song was an overnight success but like all true art, Baby Shark has taken time to find its audience. First released in 2007, the song was remixed and is only now gaining popularity outside of its pint sized fans.

The song has even managed to crack the Top 40 charts in the UK this week, holding pride of place at number 37, joining best sellers like Drake, Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande and Cardi B.

Several true fans of the song have performed their first dance as man and wife to the addictive tune.
