We Like This! Cardi B Makes History With #1 Hits
She's also the first female artist to have two number 1 hits from a debut album since Lady Gaga in 2009.
Cardi B is officially in the history books as the first female rapper to snag two #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Hitting the top spot for the fist time back in October last year, Cardi's debut single "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" held the number one place for three weeks.
This week she's done it again, as her current single "I Like It" -- which also features Bad Bunny and J Balvin -- has hit #1, swapping spots with late rapper XXXTentacion's posthumous single "SAD!"
The chart update means that Cardi has surpassed a bunch of other female rappers who have reached #1 once, including Iggy Azalea for "Fancy", with Charlie XCX, Lil Kim for "Lady Marmalade" with Christina Aguilera, Mya, and Pink, and Lauryn Hill for "Doo Wop (That Thing)".
She's also the first artist to snag two #1s from a debut album since Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis in 2013, the first soloist since Bruno Mars in 2011, and the first woman to do so since Gaga in 2009.
Needless to say, her fans are pretty stoked at the news:
