Tom Hanks Wrapped 'Toy Story 4' And People Have A Lot Of Feelings

It's been nine long years since 'Toy Story 3' was released.

So fans are getting pretty emotional after seeing that the long-awaited next instalment in the Pixar franchise is finally getting closer to hitting cinemas.

Tom Hanks -- who has voiced main character Woody since 1995 -- posted a photo from the recording studio, updating fans on the progress of Toy Story 4, and perhaps giving us a few hints about the last line of the new film.

"Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4," Hanks wrote. "We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond. Hanx."

Hanks usually uses his Twitter page to post about discarded shoes, gloves and general still-life garbage scenes he observes around LA. So fans were thrilled to find that he's actually been working very hard on Toy Story 4 -- which is due out mid-2019.

The Bridge of Spies actor's feed has been flooded with hundreds of crying gifs, because the thought of another Toy Story film is just too much to bear for fans who grew up watching the animated classic.

Toy Story 4 teaser was released in November 2018, which showed the beloved animated cast dancing to Judy Collins' version of "Both Sides Now".

Toy Story 4 hits Australia cinemas on June 20, 2019.
