Men Are Hopeful The New 'Ghostbusters' Sequel Will Have An All-Male Cast

There's another 'Ghostbusters' film in the works and men are apparently still fuming about the 2016 remake.

The Ghostbusters fans who had their childhoods absolutely *ruined* when the ghost-busting team was played by Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones are looking forward to cinematic order being restored.

Jason Reitman -- son of original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman -- has announced that a sequel will be released in 2020 and that it will be a continuation of the 1980s franchise films.

“I have so much respect for what Paul created with those brilliant actresses, and would love to see more stories from them," Reitman told EW.

"However, this new movie will follow the trajectory of the original film,” Reitman added.

Although the director didn't actually mention anything about gender, fans around the world are breathing a sweet sigh of relief that the ~original trajectory~ will be honoured.

Men everywhere are high-fiving over the fact that the new sequel might help appease some of the pain they're still feeling from 2016.

Some went as far to say that -- after three years of female ghost-busting limbo -- HUMANITY IS SAVED.

Hopefully!!!

Although fans of the 2016 Ghostbusters are questioning just how necessary this male reboot really is.

And some fans are just so very tired of the reboot hell we're all currently living in.
