Mrs Doubtfire Cast Reunite For Film's 25th Anniversary
It was an emotional catch-up for all involved as the kids of 'Mrs Doubtfire' caught up with their Stepdad Stu.
Mara Wilson, Lisa Jakub, and Matthew Lawrence were all joined by Pierce Brosnan for the upcoming 25-year anniversary of the iconic film's release.
The catch-up was part of a Today Show interview that will air next month, according to Jakub, in-line with the film's milestone. The movie was released on November 24, 1993.
The reunion was only missing the film's matriarch, Sally Field, who unfortunately was on her book tour and wasn't able to make it.
Brosnan shared THE MOST dad video to his social media, showing a photo from the film's premiere, panning out to his grown-up costars.
It was obviously a bittersweet reunion for the cast, following the death of Robin Williams back in 2014. Each of the now grown child stars reacted differently to Williams' death, with Mara Wilson publishing a blog called "Remembering Robin" where she described the star as "warm, gentle, expressive, nurturing and brilliant."
Lisa Jakub shared the letter Williams wrote on her behalf after she was kicked out of school for missing too much class while filming Mrs Doubtfire.
"He was in my corner," Jakub wrote adding, "I was only 14 but I had already seen that I was in an industry full of back-stabbing. And it was entirely clear that Robin had my back."
Lawrence called Williams "the single most important influence" in his career saying, "not a day goes by I don't appreciate the time I got to spend with him."
