Jamie Lee Curtis Is On The Hunt In Halloween Trailer
40 years later... Laurie's ready.
Halloween is just a few weeks away and while you're planning your costume for the year (we're thinking of going as 'Sexy Housing Crisis') someone else has had a few years to plan their comeback: Michael Myers.
In the latest trailer for Halloween, it's 40 years since we last saw our favourite creepy, weirdly unkillable psychopath -- well technically speaking, that is.
David Gordon Green's Halloween is a direct sequel to John Carpenter's original film of the same name, meaning Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch... even Halloween H20 are all being tossed out.
It also means a return for Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode who, in the trailer, reveals she's been praying for Michael to break out of an institution every night for 40 years.
"Why the hell did you do that for?" she's asked... "So I can kill him."
Yep, Michael hasn't been the only one biding his time. Laurie is older, wiser and ready to kick some masked-figure ass.
The film's official synopsis reads: "Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago."
The film also stars Judy Greer, Will Patton, Andi Maticha, Virgina Gardner and -- returning to the role of Michael Myers -- Nick Castle.
Keep your doors locked, Halloween will shuffle into cinemas October 25.
