Tyra Banks Confirms Life-Size 2 Has Started Filming

FINALLY.

If you're anything like us, you've found yourself staring off at distant horizons, quietly pondering one of life's biggest questions:

Yes dear reader one of life's biggest questions really is: When's Life-Size 2, the follow-up to the incredible, thought-provoking 2000 film Life-Size, coming out?

The original made-for-TV movie starred America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks alongside a 14-year-old Lindsay Lohan.

In it Lohan played Casey Stuart, a tomboy mourning her dead mother who attempts to use a book of magic to resurrect her mum (dark themes!!). A magical misfire results in Casey bringing her Eve Doll to life instead of her mother.

In the unlikely friendship of a life-sized (get it?) doll and a teen girl the pair overcome their differences to help each other on this tricky journey we call life.

Tyra has been teasing us for approximately 900 doll years, and in April last year she confirmed a sequel would be going ahead at Freeform and in an Instagram post on Tuesday, she announced her co-star, Francia Raísa.

You might recognise Raísa's from her roles in Grown-ishThe Secret Life of the American Teenager  or our personal fave Bring It On: All Or Nothing but she was also recently in the news for donating her kidney to BFF Selena Gomez.

As Tyra hinted before, the sequel plans to follow a more "grown up" Eve, and Francia will be playing a CEO of Marathon Toys, the company that makes the iconic dolls. Her character, Grace, is apparently a "hot mess" (same hon!), going through a quarter-life crisis (me too, you ain't special!).

Last year Banks hinted that she might not be the only one to reprise her role -- saying she and LiLo had been "slipping into each other's DM's a lot".

"I'm not looking for a Lindsay cameo," Banks told EW in August last year adding, "I'm looking for her to have something pretty meaty in Life-Size 2, so we shall see what our writer comes up with".

At this stage it doesn't look like Lohan has joined the cast, but who knows, she might have sometime between filming her rumoured reality TV show set at her beach club in Greece.

Anyway while we wait for more details of Life-Size 2 we'll just be here rehearsing the lyrics to the iconic "Be A Star" song.

And by "iconic", we mean bad.
