Hannah Gadsby And Jill Soloway Are Reportedly Dating

Hannah Gadsby and Jill Soloway are reportedly in a relationship -- having connected after the release of Gadsby's Netflix special, 'Nanette'.

Soloway -- the creator and showrunner of Amazon's Transparent -- has been seeing Gadsby since the beginning of the US summer, Page Six reports.

Soloway tweeted about Gadsby's widely praised stand up special Nanette before it was released in May, writing: "Nanette will make you laugh, cry, curse the patriarchy, and then laugh again."

The pair recently took part in a Times Talk conversation about Soloway's new memoir, "She Wants It - Desire, Power and Toppling The Patriarchy".

Soloway announced in 2017 that they identify as non-binary, and that journey is explored in the new book.

The writer explained that they first reached out to Gadsby in an email looking to find “queer, intersectional, interesting folks to speak to about book writing”.

Soloway then watched Nanette and described being "so blown away".

“We had breakfast the next morning … and became friends after that,” Soloway said.

“We realised yes, we both have a lot of things in common that we like to talk about that generally annoy other people.”

“I think it overwhelms people,” Gadsby added.  “It was nice to meet someone who in the course of small talk, you are talking about consent.”

“Rage, patriarchy, consent before the coffee comes," said Soloway.

The Page Six source reports that Soloway recently flew to Australia to meet Gadsby's family but neither have officially confirmed the relationship yet.
