Kristen Bell Admits To Lying To Her Kids About Their Birthdays

Appearing on 'Today' to chat with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, Kristen Bell was quizzed on her honest approach to parenthood.

The Good Place star didn't even flinch when answering if she's ever let her kids wear dirty clothes, laughingly responding "Of course! That's not even -- where's the honesty part? Like, duh."

Food that drops on the ground is also fair game, "I'll eat it!" she responded, but the most hysterical answer came when the hosts asked the 38-year-old mum of two if she ever lies to her daughters Delta Bell and Lincoln.

"Yes... yes," she said adamantly, adding, "because they can't tell time yet. I've also lied to them about when their birthday is."

"If it's on like a Wednesday and we can't celebrate and we're both working late, then guess what, your birthday is on Saturday. They don't know."

Bell was in town to promote the upcoming third season of The Good Place, the Veronica Mars revival announcement, and also to speak at the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund.

Bell's blunt honesty isn't just around her parenting, but also her marriage to comedian and fellow actor Dax Shepard. The pair is one of those celebrity couples that is the constant source of #RelationshipGoals and social media fanaticism, but Bell and Shepard are constantly open about the work they do on their relationship.

Recently Bell celebrated Shepard's 14th anniversary of sobriety, captioning a post on Instagram, "I love you more than I ever thought I could love anyone, and I want you to know, I see you. I see how hard you work. You set an excellent example of being human."

Truly a pair of icons.
