Jennifer Lawrence Reveals She's Secretly Lurking On Social Media
"I’m a voyeur: I watch, I don’t speak."
She’s previously said she’s not active on social media, but Jennifer Lawrence has now spilled the beans, revealing she’s a lurker on at least one of the popular platforms.
Speaking to InStyle, she said that while she doesn’t actively contribute, she's just like the rest of us -- she loves a good scroll.
“I’m on it. But I’m a voyeur: I watch, I don’t speak,” the 28-year-old said.
"There is always so much backlash. So many people are listening and paying attention, and they have so many opinions about absolutely everything. I really don’t want to welcome that unless it’s absolutely necessary. I don’t want to put myself out there for no reason. Unless I’m promoting something or something really burns my onions, you won’t hear from me.”

Speaking on Nick Grimshaw's BBC 1 radio program in 2014, the bubbly blonde told the host that she wasn’t the biggest fan of social media, declaring, “If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that says it's me, it most certainly is not.”
“The internet has scorned me so much that I feel like it's that girl in high school that I'm like, "Oh, you want to talk about her? Yeah, I'll do that!" Take my hoops off, I'm ready to go,” she added.
Earlier in 2014, Lawrence was one of several victims of having private nude photos leaked online -- so it ’s easy to see why'd avoid having an active social media presence.
"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime," she said to Vanity Fair at the time. "It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting."
"The law needs to be changed, and we need to change," she continued.
"That's why these web sites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. I just can't imagine being that detached from humanity. I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside."
