Pete Gives Ariana Cute Intro At Intimate LA Show
Ariana performed tracks from her new album during 'The Sweetener Sessions' in LA over the weekend.
Ariana Grande performed tracks from her newly released album, Sweetener, for fans at the Ace Hotel theatre in LA over the weekend.
Billboard reports that the "God Is A Woman" singer was introduced to the stage by her fiancé Pete Davidson -- who remains completely in awe of the fact that he’s dating the pop star.
The Saturday Night Live comedian joked that he’s amazed Grande even speaks to him -- let alone the fact they’re set to marry sometime next year.
“Coming to the stage -- I can't believe she talks to me -- give it up for my love, Ariana Grande!" Davidson announced to the crowd.
Ariana gave Pete a kiss onstage before launching into a 16-song set – performing the majority of Sweetener plus an a capella version of "Be My Baby".
Grande also performed "Only 1" for the very first time -- a bonus track from her 2014 record, My Everything.
"I've actually never done this song before -- live, anyway," she told the crowd.
Grande added that she couldn’t believe it’s been exactly four years since the release of My Everything and nearly five years since her debut record, Yours Truly dropped.
“It's so weird, because how did that happen so quickly, you know? How am I alive? How am I awake? That's so crazy. It's been such a wild ride."
Sweetener was released on August 17 and debuted at the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Grande tweeted to say she was "so grateful" following shows in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
And if her sleepy Eevee Pokémon tweet is anything to go by, she's going to get some much deserved rest this week.
