Ben Affleck Checks In To Live-In Rehab Facility

After an intervention staged by ex Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck has checked back into a residential rehab facility.

Ben Affleck has checked into a rehab facility where he is expected to stay "for an extended period of time" after his estranged wife Jennifer Garner staged an intervention with him on Wednesday afternoon.

TMZ has reported that after Jen saw a photo of him receiving a delivery of beer and liquor, she visited his house to "beg him to get help". Their sources said that Ben "was receptive" to Jen's pleas, because "he knows he needs help".

Ben has a history of problems with alcohol, and this will be his third stint in rehab, with the first being in 2001 and a second last December.

Prior to Ben's second rehab stay, Ben was photographed with a sober coach in January 2017, and in March  posted the following to his official Facebook:

Just last week, a friend of Ben's told People magazine that the actor was "doing really well" before his 46th birthday on August 15, and that Ben was attending meetings as well as doing meditation and yoga.

“While he still has his moments -- and let’s be honest, everyone struggles -- he continues to work hard on himself,” the friend added.

TMZ's source, on the other hand, reported that "Ben fell off the wagon awhile ago and has gotten progressively worse".

Although Jen and Ben aren't officially divorced yet, she filed the papers last April after a two-year separation. The two have remained close throughout their separation, often being photographed together with their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

Ben's split from former girlfriend Lindsey Shookus was announced recently, and he was snapped partying with 22-year-old Playboy Playmate Shauna Sexton this week.

We wish Ben all the best in his road to recovery.
