Demi Lovato's Sister Posts Touching Tribute To Star On Her 26th Birthday

The star will celebrate her 26th birthday in rehab following her apparent overdose in July.

It's Demi Lovato's 26th birthday today, and while it's likely to be a low-key occasion as she recovers in rehab, it didn't stop friends and family from wishing the singer a happy birthday across social media.

With everyone from Ellen DeGeneres to Ryan Seacrest sending their well wishes to the "Sorry Not Sorry" songstress, the most touching tribute came from her little sister Madison De La Garza.

Posting to her Instagram, Madison wrote a heartfelt message to her big sis, which comes just weeks after the star suffered an apparent overdose on July 24.

“Today could have been one of the worst days of my life, but instead i get to spend it thanking God, the incredible doctors, Demi’s team, and everyone across the world who offered their support -- without all of these people I wouldn’t have my big sister anymore,” the 16-year-old actress wrote.

"I’ve been thinking about how I wish that everyone could see the silly little things that she does, like how her nostrils move when she says certain words and when she brushes my hair behind my ear when I’m trying to sleep, because those are the things I’m so thankful for today,” she continued.

She added that those things may "seem so small, but those little things make up my sister -- not a singer, not a celebrity and definitely not what she's been described as in the media -- she's a daughter, a friend, and my big sister... and I am so, so thankful that I can tell her happy birthday."

The girls' mum Dianne De La Garza reshared the sweet pic, adding, "Thank you for all your love and prayers... I am truly blessed. #thankful #happybirthdaydemi"

Musician Quincy Jones also had a poignant birthday message for the star, saying:

"Having spent 85 years on this planet, I've learned this life is full of hills/valleys but it's the moments after I've been stuck in my deepest valleys that I've been able to conquer my deepest fears/battles. Today we celebrate U, keep shinin bright!"

Demi will likely remain in rehab for several months as she recovers from her recent relapse. We hope she has a fab birthday and continues her recovery!
