Kanye West Still Stumped After Disaster Interview On Kimmel
The recording artist said he 'wasn't given a chance' to answer Kimmel's question.
Kanye West hit out at critics for claiming he was 'stumped' during his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but the recording artist's recent social media outburst has invited even more backlash to his political leanings.
Let's start at the top. West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week, where he was pressed about his politics and his passion for U.S. President Donald Trump.
You can watch the full 11:38 section where West spoke about Trump below, but when Kimmel handed him the floor saying, "Answer any question you want," the 41-year-old floundered.
What ensued was a ramble that covered West's love for the competing forces of love and fear, his cousin's incarceration and what he described as a lack of confidence in his own political standings.
Discussing ideas that society is a simulation, walls of coffee tables and diffusing nuclear bombs of hate West failed to answer a question about Trump so much so that Kimmel attempted to force the matter.
"You famously and so powerfully said 'George Bush doesn't care about black people' it makes me wonder what makes you think that Donald Trump does?"
West sat in contemplative silence for a few seconds before Kimmel threw to a break. When they returned from the break the conversation shifted to West's family and children.
Following the interview, many called West out for having no discernible reasoning behind his support for Trump, aside from a few rambles about kids jumping on coffee tables and Galileo's theories. West did what he did best and tweeted his thoughts.
The only problem is that in his defence of not answering the question... West has *still* dodged the question.
Kimmel also responded to West via Twitter saying he was "impressed" by what Kanye does quietly.
