Tom Cruise Apparently Didn't Know There Was Porn On The Internet

Missionary? Impossible.

Tom Cruise may be starring in one of the biggest action films of the year, but according to Judd Apatow, he had no idea just how much action was happening online.

Speaking to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Apatow told the story of how he once had a meeting with Cruise while he was shooting Knocked Up back in 2006, the film that really made Seth Rogen a household comedy name.

Before the film was released though Rogen was, as Apatow describes, "just a dude with me", but he was brought along to the meeting as a witness of the historic event.

"We're talking to [Cruise] and I don't know how it came up but it usually comes up with Seth when he starts talking about marijuana and pornography... and he starts talking about watching adult films on the internet and Tom Cruise goes, 'What?! Wait. You're saying there are adult films... on the internet?'"

"Tom Cruise is like, 'Wait a second... you're saying if I go on the computer, on the world wide web, there are people having sex on this highway?'"

Apatow says he wasn't sure if Cruise was just trying to cover his browser history tracks, or if he was actually telling the truth but he was "being very polite".

Still, Colbert really summed up ALL of our feelings on what the next Mission Impossible film should be about. Tom Cruise discovering porn.

If you were wanting to watch a different kind of action-packed film, Mission Impossible: Fallout is in cinemas now.
