Serena Williams Wanted Italian For Dinner So Her Husband Took Her To Italy

PAY ATTENTION, MEN.

While she was two months pregnant Serena Williams won the Australian Open. A few months after giving birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia, facing a series of complications and a week of surgery, Serena went on to place second in Wimbledon this year.

Now, Serena is getting EXACTLY what a champion deserves with her husband and co-founder of Reddit Alexis Ohanian treating the world-class sporting legend to a low-key dinner treat.

"She wanted Italian so..." Ohanian captioned an image of the pair in VENICE, ITALY.

Sure, when we slap that "Italian" filter on the Menulog app a message comes up that says, "You're really going to order pizza again?" but This. Is. What. Serena. Deserves.

Ohanian shared a few other snaps of their trip, saying "Venezia made a great first impression on the family. We'll certainly be back. But there's work to be done..."

Serena also shared some drone footage of their amazing room, which had a skylight so she could watch the stars from bed. Conveniently, if Serena Williams needs to look at stars she just needs to look in a mirror.

Ohanian and Williams have been hardcore #CoupleGoals for a while now, and after Serena's incredible performance at Wimbledon, he posted the most heartwarming tribute to his wife.

In an interview with Vogue Williams explained she has a history of blood clots, and following the birth of Alexis Olympia several small blood clots were found in her lungs.

Williams faced six days of medical obstacles including her C-section wound reopening after a coughing fit, a pulmonary embolism, the discovery of a large hematoma and having a filter inserted into a major vein to prevent more clots travelling to her lungs.

Still, she went on to dominate the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, placing second after Germany's Angelique Kerber.
