The 'Frozen' Musical Is Coming To Australia In 2020

Just when you thought you'd finally gotten "Let It Go" out of your head.

The musical adaptation of the highest-grossing Disney animation in history is coming to Australia next year.

Frozen premiered on Broadway in March 2018 and was nominated for Best Musical at the Tony Awards, in the company of Mean Girls, Spongebob SquarePants and winner, The Band's Visit.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the news today, saying Frozen is "one of the most highly acclaimed and sought after musicals currently in production".

The Frozen musical has been billed as a little more refined than the smash kids film and is focused on some more ~adult themes~ than the original.

"Elsa’s inner turmoil and Anna’s fractured fantasy of romance have taken center stage -- rather adult material for Frozen’s youngest fans," according to a Time magazine review.

Also, judging by a tweet from actor Greg Hildreth the show sometimes includes a little impromptu puppet stand-up comedy.

Frozen will premiere in July 2020 at Sydney's Capitol Theatre.
