A Look Back At 2018's Celebrity Births, Marriages And Splits
Take a walk down memory lane with us as we remind you of the celebrity milestones from the year that was 2018.
Did [insert any celebrity] really get married this year? Is [insert famous person here] still pregnant? Was it really six months ago that [insert musician] and [insert TV star] called off their engagement?
Of course, end of year lists are here to remind you that time's arrow neither stands still or reverses, it merely marches forward. And recalling who got married, engaged, had a baby or visited the White House in the last 12 months will make you reflect upon your own mortality but here we go!
Some Very Famous People Decided To Marry Each Other
We all love a celebrity wedding because it feels a lot like watching the season finale of a sit-com where our favourite characters' romantic arcs have finally intersected.
Highlights from this year included a surprise wedding (Hailey and Justin Bieber) a co-star wedding (Game Of Thrones stars Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie) and a pre-prison wedding (Jersey Shore's Mike Sorrentino).
Brooklyn-Nine Nine star Stephanie Beatriz wed her bf Brad Hoss, Gwyneth Paltrow married another Brad (Falchuk), Mandy Moore tied the knot with musician Taylor Goldsmith and Bachie faves Sam and Snez made things official with a cute Byron wedding.
The Most Lavish Wedding award goes to Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, who had SEVERAL elaborate ceremonies in India, and the Most Chilled Wedding award goes to late contenders Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who had a casual Christmas 'do at home in Nashville.
And we totally forgot -- or maybe didn't even realise -- that Hugh Grant, Richard Gere, Hilary Swank and Kaley Cuoco also married their significant others in 2018. Congrats, guys!
Celebrities Asked Other Celebrities To Spend The Rest Of Eternity With Them
In 2018 we learned that Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz got engaged on Christmas Eve, musician Teddy Geiger and Schitt's Creek star Emily Hampshire made an agreement to wed and Zoë Kravitz and Karl Glusman will soon get hitched.
TWO former Malcolm In The Middle stars asked their partners for their hands in marriage (Frankie Muniz and Christopher Masterson could have a double wedding!) plus Rosie O'Donnell proposed to her gf Elizabeth Rooney while Meg Ryan will soon be adding 'Cougar Mellencamp' to all her personalised stationery after saying 'Yes' to John.
The Celebs Who Consciously Uncoupled In 2018
In sad news for love, some of our favourite celebrity couples decided they no longer wanted to attend awards shows and sponsored events together.
Duos who called it quits this year included Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka and Robert and Grace DeNiro.
Fans were devastated to learn that dream couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were parting and less surprised that Elon Musk and Amber Heard, Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff, G-Eazy and Halsey, Diddy and Cassie and Shia LeBeouf and Mia Goth were no longer items.
Celebrities Birthed More Some Smaller Celebrities!
The last twelve months delivered us more celebrity babies, complete with ~innovative~ celebrity baby names. We met Cardi B and Offset's daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, and were introduced to Story Annabelle Paul, the baby of Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul and his wife Lauren.
Surnames as first names are always popular with celebs as Hart Kerry Spiegel (Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel), Ennis Howard (Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons) and Banks Violet Bair (Hilary Duff and Matthew Korma) reminded us this year.
Through the magical vicarious portal of Instagram, we also met Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's second child, Miles Theodore Stephens, and Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa's new kid Rani Rose.
Plus the world was gifted with Kardashian 'triplets' Chicago Noel West, True Thompson and Stormi Webster all in the space of a few months.
We also found out that we'll be meeting some new tiny celebrities in 2019 with pregnancy announcements from Amy Schumer, Kehlani, Bachie lovebirds Matty J and Laura and Jessica Simpson.
We'll see you this time next year to fondly look back on the celebrity milestones of 2019.
