‘My Dad Wrote A Porno’ Is Getting TV Special

Hold on to your pomegranates, the cult podcast is heading to TV screens.

In good news for fans of ‘bad dad-rotica’, the cult comedy podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno is getting its very own TV special on HBO.

Co-hosts Jamie Morton, James Cooper and Alice Levine announced on social media that they will indeed be “turning HBO into a porn channel”.

“We can finally announce our live show is becoming a comedy special, which means now everyone can see it!!” they said.

The team -- who have helped bring Rocky Flintstone’s erotic series Belinda Blinks to the world for the last three years -- said it was “an incredibly exciting and surreal moment”.

Rocky Flintstone is the nom de plume of Morton’s father who has penned such erotic gems as “her tits hung freely, like pomegranates” and compared nipples to “three inch rivets which had held the hull of the fateful Titanic together.”

HBO’s Nina Rosenstein commented that the podcast “shows the extent of just how embarrassing dads can be, in the best possible way.”

"James, Jamie and Alice transformed a very awkward situation into an undeniably hilarious experience that we’re excited to share with our audience,” Rosenstein said.

The Porno team have commented that they wouldn’t have made it to the telly without the support of their fans.

“From the bottom of our pomegranates, thanks so much for all your support. It’s so exciting to be back - and look out for us on HBO next year.”
